After experiencing four years of high school DECA and taking on the role of Junior Executive for UW DECA in 2017, Isaac Wong takes the lead to further grow the organization. To Isaac, joining UW DECA is the perfect opportunity to develop both one’s personal and professional network. Isaac is excited to spearhead UW DECA into a new era for his 2A term. One fun fact about Isaac is that he can eat a medium pizza in under 2 and a half minutes. Don’t believe him? Challenge him and witness for yourself, if you dare.
Coming from the position of President of DECA U Ontario, Andres is excited to be leading the UW DECA chapter for the 2018-2019 year alongside Isaac. Andres had the unique experience of organizing two Provincials competitions, bringing a top-down perspective to table. Andres joined the organization to help propel it forward to a whole new level, as well as bring new and innovative case categories to the forefront. A fun fact about Andres is that he is an avid gamer with a passion for Blizzard games, so don’t be afraid to hit him for his Battle.net.

Spearheading various international marketing strategies for organizations such as BlackBerry and UWMG20, Chris directs his efforts to further advance the newly branded UW DECA. Entering his 4th year, Chris is looking forward to the new challenges and memories that UW DECA will have in store. You can find Chris in his natural habitats at your local coffee shop design graphics or at a Chance the Rapper concert. He is excited to bring his new perspective and creative ideas to the UW DECA Executive team, so prepare yourselves for a new era of UW DECA.
Maha Ali Khan
VP Delegate Development
Coming from a strong legal and writing background, Maha steps into the role to spearhead the case writing and content development for the year. Although a newcomer to DECA, Maha brings with her a significant amount of experience from founding UWMG20 and UWMUN, as well as continued involvement with UGMT, Canada’s premier undergraduate mock trials competition. She is excited to be a part of the team to prepare brand new and exciting cases to challenge all of our delegates. One fun fact about Maha is that Burrito Boyz is her absolute favourite place to eat in Waterloo.
Through her experience of high school deca and role as Junior Executive for UW DECA in 2017, Anjali strives to unite amazing students across different facilities for a memorable experience. Entering her 2A term, Anjali aims to utilize the tech entrepreneurship environment that thrives within the University of Waterloo to serve as the platform for an enhance DECA experience. From the badminton court to binge watching Netflix, Anjali always keeps busy.
Continuing from his previous four years of high school DECA, Michael further develops his business mindset to achieve great heights. Michael believes that the DECA platform can give students the endless opportunities for development and to learn. It is with this mindset he enters his 2A term to help encourage students from all faculties to get involved in university, and realize that DECA can teach core fundamentals for students in any major! You can find Michael on the soccer field or enjoying the sport as a spectator cheering on his favourite team Arsenal FC!
Combing his passion for creation, Aaron enters his 2A term as the foundation for making UW DECA look on fleek. Aaron has been involved with the DECA organization since grade 10, and for him there was never a dull moment. Aaron aims to bring UW DECA into a new perspective never seen before! Through his experience of 4 years of high school DECA and his role as Junior Executive for UW DECA, Kyson is determined to bring his perspective to the new UW DECA! One of Kysons fondest memories of DECA was during the 2017 DECA U provincial finals where he was able to share his successes with his teammates, meet new friends and the overall conference experience. You can find Kyson at the gym, playing guitar or on spontaneous adventures with Isaac like a true Waterloo student!

Entering her 2A term studying English and Entrepreneuership, Rency is ready to spearhead UW DECA’s marketing objectives with success. Having worked as a Marketing and Communications Associate in Vancouver, she developed a myriad of skills from data analysis, content writing, to monitoring a monthly budget of $10,000 for Google Adwords. She is honoured to be a part of UW DECA as she will be able to fuse her skills and learn from the amazing people on the team. In her free time, Rency enjoys reading a good book, composing music, and doing Taekwondo!

Participating in DECA competitions since his first year, Kelvin focuses his passion to lead the writing of this year’s case categories! Sharing his experiences, Kelvin aims to challenge delegates with thought provoking cases within this years competitions. He is looking forward to sharing his experiences with new and returning delegates for his 4A term! You can catch Kelvin relaxing with a quality T.V. show or out with friends enjoying a board game.
Junior Associate - Marketing
Garima is in her 1A term at the Accounting and Financial Management program. Participating in DECA competitions for 4 years in high school, she is exuberant to be a part of the UW DECA team as a first-year associate! She enjoys photography and hopes to develop her design skills through the mentor-ship of the executives. She is looking forward to working with her peers and gain new experiences during her time at Waterloo. A fun fact about Garima is that she is always in the mood to eat sushi!
Junior Associate - Marketing
Entering her 1A term, Gurmehak is excited to discover what the future holds for her. From running childhood lemonade stands to competing in DECA ICDC in her high school years, With her passion for social entrepreneurship and helping others, she is now eager to fuse the collective success of all members affiliated with the UW DECA chapter. Today, Gurmehak lives by three words; growth, contribution and empowerment. These principles will guide her through this term, and many more to come. In her spare time, Gurmehak loves to doodle, watch obscure cooking videos on YouTube, or simply sit down with a good book (or manga).
Junior Associate - Delegate Development
Even as a CS major, DECA and business have always been Diana’s passion. She wishes to bring her experience as a participator and Chapter President to help UW DECA be the best of the best. As a first-year student, Diana is excited to see all the networking opportunities and learning experiences DECA can bring to herself and others. Diana aims to integrate her technical background to bring practical and relevant materials for mock case-studies. She encourages everyone, despite their major, to join DECA! Junior Associate - Delegate Development
Having participated in four years of high school DECA, Rebecca has made priceless memories that have fostered her excitement to be working as a Junior Associate on the UW DECA 2018 team. Entering her 1A term, Rebecca aims to assist anywhere she can, primarily with delegate development and making sure anyone competing from Waterloo is a top-notch competitor. Back at home, Rebecca enjoys practicing Northern Shaolin Kung Fu and Traditional Chinese lion dance. You can find Rebecca playing board games, with friends at drop-in badminton, or playing games in the lobby of MKV!
Junior Associate - Operations
After moving to Canada from Dubai, UAE and participating in high school DECA for 2 years, Ritvik has been intrigued by the organization and excited to join the UW DECA team as a first-year associate. Ritvik’s fondest memory with DECA was practicing cases in DECA workshops as he met some of his closest friends through those workshops. After graduation, Rithvik’s goal is to work with startups, in his own words “there’s nothing better than seeing a start-up that you worked for succeed”.. A fun fact about him is that he has won $100 worth of prize money by playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitively in gaming cafes across Dubai.

After 3 years of high school DECA, Evelyn enters her 1A term excited to continue her journey with UW DECA! As a Junior Associate, she is eager to organize exciting events. She believes that joining UW DECA is an amazing opportunity for people to further develop their problem-solving and communication skills along with utmost experiences for everyone. Her favourite DECA memories is receiving the giant Wisconsin cheese hat with her partner this past year at ICDC and making tons of new friends. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, kayaking, and playing board games—especially deception games like Resistance.
Junior Associate - Conference Development
Being a part of DECA in high school for 4 years, Mahnoor is excited to join the UW DECA team as a first-year associate. She has had the opportunity to attend ICDC in Nashville, Tennessee where she competed in the Finance Operations Research Event. She joined UW DECA to work alongside the other executives and help drive the organization to a new level. She looks forward to planning various events and sharing her passion and love for DECA with students from all different faculties. A fun fact about Mahnoor is that she can sing the periodic table of elements song!

With four years of DECA high school experience, previously as President, Vice President, and Event Coordinator, Katie is excited to fuse her leadership roles at UW DECA. As a Junior Associate working under sponsorships, she is planning amazing events for UW DECA. Her favourite part of DECA is meeting new people and exploring new places – Katie went to DECA ICDC in Orlando, Florida in 2014!. One fun fact about Katie is that she loves to learn wacky and exciting facts about anything and everything, for example; Scotland has 421 words and expressions for snow!
